This is a photo of the atomic bomb cloud over Hiroshima.
Thesis Statement: The United States of America went to war with Japan after the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor. War was then fought in the Pacific against them for a while, but America didn't want to lose many American lives. To them, they felt that the Atomic Bomb was the way to go. They gave Japan chances to surrender, but they didn't, and Japan was bombed. The United States of America was unjustified to bomb Japan because it claimed the lives of about 226,000 civilians, as well as caused significant long term physical and mental disabilities.
Abstract: In the year 1942 the powerful atomic bomb was created. The decision to drop it on Hiroshima and Nagasaki was made by new President Harry Truman. To Americans, the effects were unknown, but they knew American casualties would be less if they bomb Japan now and ended the war. However, this left horrific effects on the Japanese and those two cities. Dropping the atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki was unjustified because of the impact it left of the innocent Japanese people mentally and physically for those who had survived.
